KIllingley Landscapes wanted to supply an all-weather multi-wheeled pump track as part of a larger scope of work at Swadlincote, Derbyshire next to a new housing project.
Clark and Kent Contractors won the competitive tender thanks to their experience in delivering this type of pump track project and our portfolio of recently completed projects.
Our solution for the design and build of this pump track for Swadlincote offered the best value and the highest standards. Clark & Kent were engaged for a four-week schedule that included earthworks, landscaping, stone and tarmac surfacing as well as track markings and installing safety signage.
The project was successfully completed and handed over to Killingley, and we look forward to working with this company in the future. The development is part of a new urban park at Cadley Park, Swadlincote, that is being developed on the site of the former Cadley Colliery.
Cadley Park is part of a £1 million green space investment funded by South Derbyshire District Council, alongside a Sport England grant for the pump track and support from British Cycling.
As well as the pump track, the park will include a 1.1km family cycle route and an area where children and new-to-intermediate cyclists can hone their skills and learn to ride.
