Cumbernauld BMX Pump Track
The Cumbernauld pump track was constructed as part of the full-size BMX track in Scotland. The pump track is intended to play a key role in giving the local riders a fully equipped training facility at this world-class BMX track.
We were invited to tender for the project, and the selection took into account our three external National Health and Safety accreditations and our CHAS, Constructionline and Acclaim certificates.
Cumbernauld pump track construction included fencing and securing the site, installing control measures to include pedestrian access and safety signage, tree and root protection measures, a full site strip and clearance.
Work on track building included sub-base work, tarmac surfacing work, concreting, drainage works and a turfing scheme.
The new pump track project was put in place alongside the full-size BMX track that took up most of the 12 weeks of build time.
