Building a backyard BMX skills track has always been our dream here at Clark & Kent Contractors. We created a backyard skills area for BMX riders and MFB bikers using years of experience in BMX track design and building.
We incorporated steep berms and the technically demanding rhythm sections typically found on many European BMX tracks and pro-sections and dirt jumps and trails designed for our many customers.
We are confident that the BMX pump track we have built will push and develop all types of riders' skill sets, especially those that have reached an expert level. All this, coupled with our love of expanding and changing various facility areas, means that the project gave us a fantastic opportunity to refine and develop our construction techniques.
The experience has also helped us to design, experiment and trial new jump models within the sport. As a private project, this was carried out within a secure environment, and the skills track has given enormous scope to progress and enjoy the sport of BMX bike racing.
We have many friends in the BMX world. Our BMX skills area is used by world-class athletes from all over the globe. Riders who have tested it out include:
Josh Bryceland, World Cup MTB Downhill Champion
AA Pro Elite US BMX Racers, Tyler Brown, Alex Anthony
British Cycling BMX Athletes Kyle Evans, Tre Whyte and Paddy Sharrock
2011 Junior BMX World TT Champion, Darryn Goodwin
Stay Strong BMX Race team members Jordy Van Der Heijden, Leopold Tramier and Rogerio Reis
Dew Tour BMX Dirt Champion and X Games Athlete, Ben Wallace
