Winsford BMX race track rebuild

Cheshire West & Chester Council contacted Clark & Kent to rebuild and restore the former regional BMX track at Winsford, Cheshire.

The old BMX track, off Mount Pleasant Drive, had fallen into disuse and required significant improvement to develop it into a venue for hosting regional BMX events.

Cheshire West and Chester Council's Culture and Recreation team worked with BMX track building experts at Clark & Kent to design a state-of-the-art BMX track facility.

Clark & Kent completed the project within five weeks, and work included making safe the sides of the start hill, circuit tidying and a complete rebuild of the BMX track.

We removed the old track in its entirety. The new surface was laid, new jumps added, and the track length extended. The fully revamped BMX track is now home to the Vale Royal Gravel Grippers BMX Club, a friendly group of cycling enthusiasts with a full calendar of events throughout the season and an active social diary.

Winsford is an ideal training track and a great place to improve BMX bike riding skills. Funded by Cheshire West and Chester Council, the BMX track refurbishment has resulted in a newly designed track that has revitalised BMX biking in the whole area.

The course features demanding turns and technical rhythm sections, providing a challenging test for BMX riders at all skill levels.
