Spennells park, Kidderminster was a low budget pump track that was primarily aimed at beginner to intermediate standard user group looking to build confidence and gain key BMX bike handling skills.
Clark & Kent Contractors worked alongside the council's landscape architect and the Environmental Agency who were working on another project in the same park.
The brief was to make the most of the available budget so it was agreed that a design and build contract would be utilised in order to to get the best from the limited funds
After 3D track designs were submitted and finalised for approval from the user group, some key features were apparent.
The user group specified some key obstacles to include tabletop jumps, an S-Bend and a continuous loop style design.
The finished rack features a series of berms, rollers, jumps and obstacles to fill the earmarked parcel of land for the pump track.
The BMX Pump Track track is 80 metres in length. A typical drainage scheme was used along with a full limestone surface.
