BMX START GATESGet off to a flying start

Once BMX riders graduate from novices they are keen to start competitive BMX racing. It is on a race track that they can test their abilities and finesse their BMX riding skills. One of the first things to learn are at the starting gate. No matter how good a rider you are if you don't get a good start you will end up trailing behind. Good BMX tracks will include a start hill and a starting gate. One of the first skills a competitive rider must master is how to make the best start possible. Top riders will tell you that a flying start begins with the start gate set-up.

CUSTOMER FEEDBACKInternational Cycling Union

"During the 2012 BMX season, the UCI has worked twice with Clark and Kent contractors for the construction of a BMX track. The first time was during the 2012 UCI BMX World Championships in Birmingham where a non-permanent track was constructed in a very short time frame. The second time was during the rebuilding process of the London BMX track for the Olympic Games ... the feedback from Clark and Kent and the communication with the whole building team was always very constructive which resulted in a positive collaboration with the UCI during the 2012 BMX season."

FEATURED PUMP TRACKMarco's Backyard Track

International BMX star Marco Dell'isola approached Clark & Kent Contractors to build a private pump track in the back yard of his house in Stoke-on-Trent. Mini and micro diggers were necessary due to the restricted site access and labour intensive hand work was needed for much of the track construction. On completion, the BMX track received fantastic praise from riders and sports media. The track featured in the worldwide Dirt MTB Magazine as an example of how to build a backyard BMX track.
