White Wickets Park Pump Track was built by Clark & Kent Contractors for Wyre Forest District Council in Worcestershire. The track was built in a public open space alongside the already successful children's adventure play area and multi-use games area. We returned in 2020 to add a full tarmac riding surface and a few subtle tweaks.

The pump track design brief was to accommodate the adventure play area and cater to many younger children as the park is next to a school. The site is a long narrow plot of land that is sloped, and, through the consultation and design period, it was decided to cut and fill on separate levels to give the pump track some cascade. The BMX pump track is a typical two-straight design incorporating two 180° berms to enable users to make a continuous loop if they desire.

The track is around 150 metres long and allows all types of users to increase their riding skills and health and fitness. A stone sub-base was used in the pump track construction along with the limestone surface, tarmac berms, and the starting area. In addition to this, a comprehensive drainage system was installed.

Wyre Forest District Council were thrilled with the finished product, and it has spurred additional interest in the area for similar facilities, including Spennels Park and St Georges Road. White Wickets Park is a large park of more than 12 hectares near the centre of Kidderminster. Facilities and attractions include an enclosed children's play area, ornamental gardens, an open grass area for games and picnics, a multi-use games area, sports pitches with changing rooms and a BMX pump track.
